Description

Odisha has made remarkable progress in its healthcare system over the past two decades, and this journey was only possible with the tireless efforts of block and community-level administration. They are the backbone of the National Health Mission (NHM) program, ensuring its successful implementation at the grassroots level.

However, continuous learning and improvement are essential for delivering exceptional healthcare. The program “Strengthening capacity for health sector governance through exposure visit” recognizes this crucial need and aims to equip the healthcare personnel with the latest knowledge, skills, and best practices.

This program marks a significant step forward to build a healthier and brighter future for Odisha and represents a unique opportunity for cross-state collaboration and knowledge sharing to learn, strengthen the healthcare systems, and ultimately improve the lives of millions of citizens in both Odisha and Telangana.

This program marks a significant step forward to build a healthier and brighter future for Odisha and represents a unique opportunity for cross-state collaboration and knowledge sharing to learn, strengthen the healthcare systems, and ultimately improve the lives of millions of citizens in both Odisha and Telangana.

The program was centered around Telangana's Good Governance Initiatives in the Health Sector, notably highlighting the Free Dialysis Scheme, Aarogyasri Health Insurance Scheme, and the establishment of Rural Wellness Centers/Model Primary Health Centers (PHCs). This comprehensive educational initiative integrated classroom sessions with practical exposure visits. Participants were taken to a Dialysis Center and district hospital to gain firsthand insights into the operational workflow of the Aarogyasri Health Insurance Scheme. Similarly, visits to Rural Wellness Centers/Model PHCs were organized to provide a holistic understanding of primary healthcare delivery in rural areas. Throughout these visits, participants engaged with beneficiaries of these schemes, enriching their learning experience through direct interaction and observation.
