Sri Rajendra Nimje speaks on Revolutionizing Governance at International MSME Workshop
The National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Ni-MSME) recently hosted an international workshop focused on empowering youth and women in establishing and managing MSMEs. A key highlight of the event was an insightful presentation by Sri Rajendra Nimje, Director General, Centre for Good Governance, titled "Transforming Governance: From eGovernance to mGovernance to Embrace Emerging Technologies." The presentation highlighted how eGovernance has become synonymous with good governance by integrating digital tools to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and improve citizen engagement. It further delved into the transition to mobile governance (mGovernance), which leverages the widespread use of mobile devices to increase the accessibility and convenience of government services. It eventually explained how emerging technologies can further revolutionize governance. The workshop brought together 12 distinguished participants from the African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO), facilitating a dynamic 90-minute session of idea-sharing and strategic discussions.
