Regional Conference on “Bringing Citizens, Entrepreneurs and Government closer for Good Governance”
“Good Governance has become synonymous with eGovernance…There are so many services delivered, which are citizen-centric and also providing services related to Business Process Re-engineering, trying to do Governance better and better”, Sri Rajendra Nimje, DG, CGG initiated the discussion on Benchmarking Governance by presenting the aspects of “Good Governance Index (GGI) – An Assessment of Governance of States”, during the two-day Regional Conference on “Bringing Citizens, Entrepreneurs and Government closer for Good Governance”, organised by DARPG in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, in Bengaluru.
In his presentation, Sri Nimje shared the objectives of GGI, its journey from Conceptualization – Stakeholders Consultations – Designing & Formulation.
He further presented on District GGI, which helps to identify the impact of govts various interventions at District-level and provides a futuristic roadmap for improving District-level governance and service delivery with targeted interventions.
