Professional Development Programme on “Strengthening Capacity for Health Sector Governance for NHM, Odisha” for Batch 1
The four-day Professional Development Programme on “Strengthening Capacity for Health Sector Governance for National Health Mission, Odisha” for Batch 1 comprising of 54 Block Program Managers/Account Managers/Data Managers, started on Feb 22, 2024.
In his inaugural speech, Sri Rajendra Nimje, DG, CGG highlighted Odisha’s remarkable healthcare progress, attributing it to the relentless efforts of block and community-level administration. They’ve been instrumental in driving the success of the National Health Mission at grassroots levels. He mentioned how this program offers a rare chance for cross-state collaboration and knowledge exchange, emphasizing the significance of leveraging this platform to enhance healthcare systems and uplift millions in Odisha and Telangana. Additionally, he stressed the role of technology in the healthcare sector.
This programme aims at strengthening the knowledge and improve skills of the participants with health sector governance along with interpersonal skills, citizen centered attitude and professionalism in all aspects of NHM initiatives. Further during exposure visit, the Managers would witness Quality of health services, Coverage of health services, Range of health services, Affordability of health services and Management of health services in the state of Telangana with focus on NHM initiatives.
