Bridging the Skills Gap: Industrial Roundtable on BFSI Sector
The Telangana Government's Department of Employment & Training (DET), in collaboration with the CGG has launched a series of six sectoral Industrial Roundtables to bridge the gap between government skill training programs and industry needs. The inaugural roundtable, held on March 7, 2025, focused on the Banking, Finance, Service, and Insurance (BFSI) sector under the theme "Skilling Telangana for a Brighter Future."
Mr. Devi Prasad J, Director, CGG, delivered the welcome address, followed by context setting by Sri Rajendra Nimje, IAS (Retd.), Director General, CGG. The keynote address was presented by Sri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Department of Labour, and the inaugural address by Sri Soumya Ranjan, Chief Operating Officer of the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India.
This initiative marks a significant step toward aligning skill development initiatives with industry requirements in Telangana, particularly in the BFSI sector.
