Empowering progress – Launch of India’s first Block-level Good Governance Index
With immense pride and happiness, we wish to announce the grand release of India’s first Good Governance Index at Block-level (BGGI) of Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh (MP), during the first day of the two-day 26th National e-Governance Conference organised by DARPG and MEITY, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The BGGI-Chhatarpur District, MP was unveiled by Shri Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Minister, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shankar Lalwani, Member of Lok Sabha, Shri Shaitan Singh Pal, Chairman, Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Limited, Shri NBS Rajput, IAS, Joint Secretary, DARPG and other esteemed dignitaries.
What is BGGI all about?
BGGI-Chhatarpur District is first of its kind and modeled on the Good Governance Index (GGI) and District Good Governance Indices (DGGIs) of State Governments. The BGGI of Chhatarpur District is an innovative assessment tool aiming to offer a comprehensive picture, both general and detailed, of the state of governance and service delivery across the eight Blocks of the District.
BGGI- Chhatarpur District is developed by the DARPG, Govt. of India and District Administration, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh with technical support from Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Hyderabad.
