CGG celebrates Telangana Good Governance Day
Telangana Good Governance Day is being observed on June 10th as part of the 21-days decennial celebrations of Telangana Formation Day.
CGG, under the leadership and guidance of Sri Rajendra Nimje, DG, celebrated this important day by organising a symposium, which started with an introductory note by Sri Shabbeer Shaikh, Director, followed by keynote address by DG, CGG.
In his keynote address, Sri Rajendra Nimje, DG, CGG touched on how good governance was practised in India long before Chanakya's time, moving on to CGG's own journey over the past 20 years with the single goal of leading good governance practice for its long list of User Departments. He praised the previous DGs' efforts and leadership, especially those of Sri P K Mohanty, IAS (Retd.) and Dr. Rajiv Sharma, IAS (Retd.), Chief Advisor to Govt. of Telangana & Executive Vice-Chairman, CGG Board. He has also drawn attention towards CGG promoting ethical governance through its collaboration with Oasis Movement.
The Directors, Project Managers, Program Managers spoke on a well-curated list of topics covering CGG’s role in AP-Telangana State reorganization and Telangana District organization; specialization in designing & developing the Good Governance Index at the country/state, district, and block level; and role of eGovernance to support and simplify governance for all. The session concluded with how CGG is embracing new technologies such as emerging technologies, LLMs (ChatGPT), and Github Copilot to efficiently service its user departments. These topics were presented by Ms Maadhavi Sriram, Director, Mr. Hemanth P, Senior Project Manager, Mr. Janaki Ram, Program Manager, Mr. Vaibhav P, Program Manager, Ms Eskoni, Program Manager, Ms Suseela, Project Manager.
The symposium was attended by Directors, Project Managers, Program Managers, Senior Knowledge Managers and Knowledge Managers.
