CGG being a National Resource Centre (NRC) for Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India was assigned with a task of providing individual capacity building training programmes to officials of various ULBs of Jharkhand State.

It was also proposed that the training programmes cover the themes of (i) municipal administration, and (ii) municipal finance. At the request of National Institute Urban Management (NIUM), CGG has organised a training programme to officials of accounts department of Municipalities/Municipal Corporations of Telangana State.

As a measure of decentralised training strategy, the training programme was organised at Karimnagar on 17-18 October, 2016 and the theme of training programme was ‘’Principles of Municipal Accounting’’. National Institute of Urban Management (NIUM) in collaboration with CGG has conducted training programme on “Principles of Municipal Accounting’’ on 26-27 September, 2016 in the Gachibowli campus of CGG.

The programme was sponsored by Telangana Municipal Development Project (TMDP) and 21 officials of accounts section from various municipalities in Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar and Medak Districts of Telangana State have participated in the training programme. Besides guest faculty, CGG officials have also took sessions during the training programme.

CGG has been empanelled as National Resource Center (NRC) with Ministry of Urban Development, Gov. of India for conducting capacity building programme under ARMUT.

Accordingly, CGG entered into an agreement with State Urban Development Agency (SUDA), Jharkhand for conduct of individual capacity building programmes under AMRUT during 2016-17. Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Hyderabad, in association with National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), Hyderabad organized an International Symposium on “Climate Change Impacts on Agriculture – Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies”, Tuesday 23, February 2016 at CGG, Gachibowli campus.

Two refresher training programmes have been conducted for accounts officials of ULBs of Telangana State at CGG, Gachibowli campus during 15-17 July and 20-22 July 2015. The training programme was inaugurated by Dr. B. Janardhand Reddy, IAS, Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration.

To help the ULBs finalise accounts and go live with DEABAS a three day refresher training programme for accounts officials of ULBs of Telangana has been conducted at Centre for Good Governance in two batches during 15-17 July and 20-22 July 2015.
