Lakshmi joined CGG in March 2008 with ten years of professional experience in the development sector behind her. She is a Development Professional having worked with organisations like Multiple Action Research Group (MARG), Society for Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) and Centre for World Solidarity (CWS). Her academic accomplishments include Master of Philosophy and Master of Arts in Sociology from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Delhi School of Economics, respectively. She also pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights from the University of Hyderabad. Currently she is doing a Doctorate in Sociology from Dr B R Ambedkar Open University. Lakshmi's work interests and expertise lie in Action Research, Participatory Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Capacity Building & Institutional Strengthening, Social and Human Development and Human Rights. She has worked in varied sectors like Education, Inclusive policies, Local Self Governance, Right to Information, Social Accountability, Health and Welfare. She has jointly authored a book called "Daughters of 74th Amendment" and penned booklets on Child Marriages and Proactive Disclosure. She has contributed papers at international and national seminars on various topics. In her career of over 15 years, she has undergone trainings and certification programmes in Inter-Personal Communication Skills (Abhivyakti), Training of Trainers in Participatory Training Methodologies (PRIA), Participatory Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PRIA), Logical Framework Analysis (PRIA), Project Cycle Management (ITC Italy & CGG), Direct Trainer Skills (YASHADA & DoPT, GoI) and Results Framework Document (Performance Management Division, Cabinet Secretariat, GoI).
