Devi Prasad Juvvadi

Prof. Devi Prasad Juvvadi is Director, Agriculture Management at Centre for Good Governance, Hyderabad, in India with about three decades of experience in agricultural research, teaching and consultancy. His basic education was B.Sc (Agric) at Andhra Pradesh Agriculture University, India and later he pursued Masters in Soil Science at American University of Beirut and advanced training in soil science at Oxford University, England. He worked as Assistant Professor at American University of Beirut for a decade and adjunct to US-Saudi Joint Commission on Economic Co-operation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He worked as Consultant to various international organizations like UNDP, Wold Bank, DFID in Middle East, Africa and Europe.
For the last 25 years, Prof. Devi Prasad is involved with agricultural development planning in India. He has extended services to Agriculture Finance Corporation of India as Team Leader for World Bank supported project, A.P. Community Based Tank Management Project. He also worked as Team Leader for External M&E of A.P.Well, a Netherlands supported project.
For the last decade he was involved in various projects with Centre for Good Governance including change and service delivery projects in agriculture and allied sectors under a DFID supported programme, SPIU (Strategy and Performance Innovation Unit). He has conducted a residential week long programme “Reengineering Extension Approaches” to entire agriculture department of state of Andhra Pradesh for three years. He has also conducted “Capacity Building for Research and Academic Excellence in Agriclture” for teaching staff of Acharya N.G.Ranga Agriculture University, Hyderabad, India.
Prof. Devi Prasad has been visiting professor to universities and institutes in India. He is a trainer, resource person and consultant to many organizations in India including DMRL, DRDL, MIDHANI, NAARM, MANAGE, SAMETI, EEI, SBI, ITC, APWELL, AFC etc.
Prof. Devi Prasad has published widely in international journals, published bulletins, review articles, contributed to English and Telugu news papers on agriculture and written few books. Prof. Devi Prasad presented papers at several international conferences including World Agriculture Forum, and lectured in various American universities.
Prof. Devi Prasad studied in three countries, worked in six countries and travelled widely in over 26 countries like USA, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Austria, Australia, Brazil, South Africa, China etc in all the continents.
